Second House Meeting


Our second house meeting was held on 17th January 2018 which mainly focused on the Republic Day and Sankranti celebrations.

Bhavna Garimella and Lizna Lalani of XI B, the comperes for the day, invited the Junior school girls to begin the meeting with a prayer, invoking God’s Blessings.

The prayer was followed by a speech by Neha Dadke of XI C, who spoke about the real essence of Republic Day. The next event on the agenda was the fancy-dress competition in which the tiny tots of class 1,2 and 3 took part, dressing up as various freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Jhansi Ki Rani, Sarojini Naidu, Mother Teresa and Subhash Chandra Bose.

The girls of class 4 to 6 next presented a patriotic song for us which indeed invoked in us a spirit of nationalism. A quiz was conducted by Afshin Ratnani and Alina Safi of Class XI C where the general knowledge of the girls of class 9 to 11 was tested. The winners of the various competitions were awarded by our teachers.

The junior school girls then performed a dance on a patriotic song which was choreographed by Alina Safi of XI C. The meeting ended with us singing the national anthem.


The  last emerald house meeting for the year began with much enthusiasm and excitement. With republic day as the theme, the primary students dressed as freedom fighters for their fancy dress competiton while junior section students presented a skit on environmental pollution. The hidden talents of the students was seen through various competitions held during the meeting. The speech on republic day and the patriotic singing instilled the feeling of nationalism among the students. The dance performance by the primary and high school students entertained the audience. Sheeba Moghal, the House captain, gave her final speech. The meeting ended with the rendition of the National Anthem.


The second Ruby house meeting for the year 2017-18 was held on 23rd January, 2018 from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. The theme of the meeting was Sankranti.

The students were provided with lunch before the meeting, the delicious pulihara was appreciated by all. The meeting started with a prayer followed by an informative speech on Republic Day by Vidushi Jhawar of XI D. Various competitions were then organized for the students. Kite making and card making competitions for classes I to VIII and Rangoli making competition for classes IX and XI. The non-participants were engaged in a fun-filled quiz by Aishwariya Naidu of class VIII.

The girls from classes VIII, IX and XI then showcased their talents by performing a spectacular dance performance choreographed by Priyamvada of XI B and Armin of XI D. The prizes for the competitions were then announced. Our house captain Nishtha Surana Baid gave an emotional speech in which she spoke about  the importance of inter-house competitions and thanked all the members of the house. The meeting ended with the singing of the school song.



The Second House Meeting for the Academic Year 2017-18was held  at 2:30 P.M. on 22nd January, 2018

Delicious food “chole bhature” and “moti choor laddu” was served before the meeting began.

The meeting began with a prayer, followed by a speech on Republic Day. Students from the primary section dressed up as famous personalities and quoted them. After the Fancy Dress competition, girls danced to songs such as “India wale” and “Desh Rangila”. The senior girls performed a skit on the unsung heroes who played a vital part in attaining independence for India. A feet-tapping performance was given by the girls from Primary on the song “Maa tujhe salaam”.

Our house captain, Nikita Fernes then delivered a motivational speech and our school captain, Sanskrithi, took over with a beautiful song.

Prizes for all the competitions were awarded to the students by the teachers in-charge. The event concluded with the national anthem.


Topaz House

The second house meeting was held on 19th January, 2018.

The theme of the meeting was Sankranthi celebrations. The girls from the primary and junior section came dressed in their traditional outfits and looked forward to the meeting. The meeting started with a tasty lunch consisting of a vada, lemon rice and Til laddu. After lunch, the girls from the primary section took part in the pot painting competition and the girls of the junior section and high school took part in the kite making and rangoli competitions respectively.

The programme began with a speech on Sankranthi and its significance by the students from the primary section. Next, the girls of the junior section performed a classical dance which was highly applauded by the audience. Following the dance, a speech was given on the Republic Day. The high school girls gave a dance performance which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

Next,the results of the various competitions were announced and the winners were awarded. Ayra Fatima of class 6 A won the prize for the best dressed girl. As the programme came to an end, Yusra of class 11A gave a short speech on behalf of the outgoing batch of class 10 and 12 to thank the Topaz house teachers and the staff. The meeting ended on a positive note with the girls singing of the School song.
